Resurrection in Motion
Intersections for Easter 6c
Opening Reflection
Resurrection doesn’t return us to normal,
It propels us toward new creation.
It doesn’t freeze us in place.
It calls us into motion.
Into the flow of love that keeps widening the way.
This week’s Scriptures aren’t still-life portraits.
They’re full of motion, of opening, of healing, of holy redirection.
In John, Jesus doesn’t promise escape. He promises presence.
In Revelation, the vision is not of escape but of arrival, a river flowing through the center of a healed world.
In Acts, the Spirit disrupts strategy and sends Paul not to a man in Macedonia, but to a woman by the water, Lydia, who opens her home and plants a church.
In Psalm 67, blessing spills out, not to secure privilege, but to flood the world with justice and joy.
Resurrection is not the end.
It’s the beginning of a movement,
Love on the loose.
Grace that flows.
Healing that refuses to stay in its lane.
This Week’s Intersections
God Dwells With Us
John 14:23–29 – “We will come and make our home with them.”
God doesn’t wait at a distance. God moves in—into our weariness, our doubt, our daily routines. This is divine presence, not future reunion.
Revelation 22:1–5 – No temple. No sun. Just presence. Just light.
The need for mediation is gone. The holy isn’t confined—it’s everywhere. What was once hidden is now home.
The Spirit Guides Us Differently
Acts 16:6–9 – The Spirit says “no” before saying “yes.”
Not all closed doors are rejection—some are redirection.
The Spirit’s path doesn’t always follow our maps.
John 14:26 – “The Advocate… will remind you…”
The Spirit doesn’t bulldoze our pain or fix our uncertainty.
She whispers what we’re prone to forget:
You are not alone.
Christ is with you.
Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Love.
Love Creates New Communities
Acts 16:11–15 – Lydia becomes the first convert in Europe.
She listens. She opens. She leads.
And the church is born at her kitchen table.
This is a new kind of community—rooted in hospitality, not hierarchy.
Psalm 67 – “May God bless us… so that your ways may be known.”
Blessing isn’t the finish line—it’s the starting point.
We are blessed to become a blessing.
Chosen not for superiority, but for solidarity.
Healing and Justice Flow Together
Revelation 22 – “The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”
This is not divine favoritism—it’s cosmic restoration.
God’s healing flows through history, through trauma, through every boundary we’ve drawn.
Psalm 67 – “Let the nations be glad, for you rule with justice.”
Praise and justice are not opposites.
True joy rises in a world made right.
This is a liturgy for the wounded and the overlooked.
Guiding Invitation
Where is the Spirit nudging you,
Toward peace that lingers?
Hospitality that opens space?
Generosity that overflows?
Healing that starts in your own wounds?
Resurrection is still moving.
And Love is leading the way.
