Hi friends,
You may have noticed that things look a little different around here.
What began as Story Threads, focused on my weekly Intersections reflections, has grown into something deeper—something more personal, more spacious, and more reflective of the journey I’m on as a pastor, writer, and fellow wounded healer.
So welcome to the new home of this journal:
A Wounded Healer’s Journal.
I chose this name intentionally. Not because I see myself as the wounded healer—but because I’m one of many. Like Henri Nouwen once wrote, our calling is not to lead from perfection, but from the sacred vulnerability of our own healing. That’s where I write from. That’s where this journal lives.
What’s Changing?
This journal will no longer focus solely on the Intersections Bible study. Instead, you’ll find a wider range of reflections—still rooted in Jesus, still holding space for transformation, but now with more room to breathe.
You’ll now see five broad categories (I’m using verbs to reflect movement and practice):
🔹 Loving – Personal reflections, pastoral insights, and theological musings.
🔹 Reading – Book reviews and lessons learned from the voices shaping me.
🔹 Converging – Intersections Bible Reflections, centering prayers, and spiritual practices that help us notice how heaven meets earth.
🔹 Healing – Honest explorations of trauma, wholeness, and the grace that restores.
🔹 Leading – Thoughts on church life, discipleship, and ministry in today’s world.
I’ll still write about Scripture. I’ll still offer centering prayers. But I’ll also be sharing more of my own story, more of what I’m learning (and unlearning), and more of what I think the Spirit might be saying to the church in this moment.
Why the Change?
Because I’ve changed.
And chances are—you have too.
We’re living in a time when many are rethinking faith, longing for something more rooted in love, justice, and healing. My hope is that this journal becomes a small part of that journey for you—a space of honesty, gentleness, courage, and Jesus.
If you’ve been here since the Story Threads days—thank you.
If you’re new here—welcome.
Let’s keep walking this sacred road together.
With grace,
Paul Dazet
A wounded healer on the way.
